An Analysis of Cost Per Credit ratios and other pricing structures in online continuing education
There is a wide range of prices currently in the continuing education market in general, independent study included. While a number of factors go in to the type of independent study medium (ex: book, versus entirely online text, versus DVD, CD, or online video) as well as authors and the associated cost, I thought I would take some time soon to evaluate the cost per credit (total course cost divided by the number of CE credits you get) for different course providers and courses as well as compare similar courses (or even the same course provided by different companies through affiliate agreements). This is probably something I'll do company by company and whittle away it when I get bored- so don't look for it tomorrow or anything, if anyone is interested in picking a company or two to do all the courses of we could split up some of the work, or not ;)Back to the Psych Continuing Ed Directory
