When Will I Get Better? Prognostic Factors Related to Mood Disorders (1 CE for $12)

No one claims a scientific ability to always predict the future of one person’s depression, bipolar or other mood disorder. However, certain factors may increase the risk of onset and impact the course, severity of symptoms and the likely success of treatment. This presentation offers an overview of evidence related to potential vulnerabilities to emotional concerns, as well as estimating prognosis and treatment outcome in clinical settings. It also offers surprising perspectives on the importance of assessing and documenting these factors.

Participants will be able to: (1) list factors related to prognosis and severity in mood disorders (2) describe ways to effectively assess these factors in practice
